Oaxacan weaver Oscar Perez shares the wisdom of his ancestors in this short window into his process I filmed during my trip to Teotitlán del Valle in Oaxaca, México. Oscar is an incredibly humble artist, five generations deep into his work, and he's lovingly passing his craft onto his children — along with teaching them how to speak Zapotec at home. His ancestry fuels the magic of his work and lucky for us, he's more than happy to open his studio for the community. I felt right at home in his beautiful workshop as I looked through my lens, capturing him weave dreams into reality on a wooden loom his grandfather built. His tender and inviting energy was emblematic of my experience in Oaxaca, one of the sweetest places in the world.
