Tía Chucha's Centro Cultural
Taking place on Earth day, this workshop at Tía Chucha's Centro Cultural focused on honoring our ancestors with designs inspired by ancient concepts and philosophies. With up to 70 registered RSVPs, we had a packed house and provided everyone with their own watercolor palette, brushes, pre-drawn designs and my personal guidance. I like to go around each corner of the room to give quieter, intimate lessons on technique when getting started. This allows for a deeper relationship with participants and a clearer view on the smaller details when working with watercolor. It’s essential to see how natural the medium behaves compared to acrylic or oils and requires a closer inspection on the intricacies of the delicate human touch to allow it to breathe and bloom. It’s where the real magic begins.
